This past weekend at Tapapies

Imagen
Over the weekend I went to the Tapapies festival and enjoyed the different ethnic foods that were offered by the many vendors in the Lavapies area. I was genuinely surprised as to how many people were there on Saturday. The streets were flooded with people laughing and eating small foods while drinking beer. Although the majority of the people at this festival were adults, there were still a bunch of kids there that would dance in front of small crowds drawn to music provided by street performers. Overall it was a really fun and interesting way to spend my weekend.

Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Going on until the 27 th of October, you can stop by the Tapapies festival right off of the Lavapies metro station. This is a great way to experience Spanish culture, with many musicians performing and tapas dishes from 108 participating bars in the area. This is a very inexpensive outing as each participating bar offers their specialty tapas along with a beer for 1.50 euro. The tapas cater to all eating restrictions as there are many vegan and vegetarian options as well as a few gluten free tapas.      Pictured below is a tapas dish from Apapona Indian restaurant that is featured in the Tapapies festival. This dish is a Phyllo pasta stuffed with chicken, carrot and cauliflower with soy sauce and ali o li. To the right is another tapas dish from Fusion Africa. This dish includes Vermicelles noodles with vegetables,  raisins , and chicken  marinated in sauce     Not every bar
